Saturday - Market Day in Olhao

We ventured out into the heat of the morning at 10am intent on foraging and making the most of market day. Very many people - locals and tourists alike had much the same idea, the harbour was thronged. The whole space along the front lined with mostly fruit and veg stalls. Honey, cheese, eggs, olives - all very fresh and proper.

We bought cheese, a slice of Iberico and more broad beans, plus strawberries, olives, lemons and bread. The bars were so full and busy that we abandoned hope of a beer and headed home with our treasures. We'd planned to eat on the roof but opted to use the main table for our feast. And what a feast !

In the evening we ate at the Frango - a grilled meat place of excellent repute - that did not live up to expectations at all = the mixed grill and chicken slices were overdone and greasy. Not enjoyable at all. We rather blame this for us both being ill later that night - Linda being really very sick, We'll say no more except that it wiped out any plans for the following day.
