Last Day: Farewell to Corsica

Our flight from Bastia was scheduled to depart 17:00 so we had the morning to enjoy before the hardcore travelling began. Packing did not take long, and we didnt feel like a swim so we found ourselves at the bar for the obligatory coffees. We ate an early lunch when the restaurant opened, and shared an excellent 22E plate of charcouterie.

The taxi arrived promptly at 1pm and we arrived at the airport about an hour later. Big mistake ! we could have left much later and wished we had. The airport was busy, hot, not enough seats, and very little duty free. There seemed to be delays affecting lots of flights and ours finally left about 90 minutes late.

The flight to Gatwick was otherwise smooth and we collected the car in super quick time. It seems there had been big delays on the motorway, which thankfully were clearing by the time we were moving. Probably if the flight has been on time we'd only have sat in traffic queues ! So we got home about 9pm and called in a curry. Classic.

Sunday we collected Molly and Riley. We were so glad that both were well and like us, seemed to have put on weight. It really is a wonderful cattery, we trust them completely.
