Day 1: Flight and shiver

Saturday saw us on an early EasyJet flight to Palma. Arrived to a cold, damp airport and got the 1130 bus out to Porto Pollenca.

Our hotel Eolo is very central, welcoming and the room is basic but fine.

So cold! We'd assumed it would be as sunny and warm as last year, and we're woefully unprepared.

Walked along the boardwalk and looked out at the road toward Formentor - hum, that looks a bit steep !

Had tapas on the seafront, then went to buy some warmer clothes!

Found a great sports pub O'Hara and settled in to watch the rugby. England played a blinder to crush Wales.

Ate at Centric - chicken with figs and rice, rabbit in onion sauce with boiled potato. All good. Found ourselves back at O'Haras for a grand glass of wine. In time to watch France bully Scotland to win the 6 nations.

Dark and cold with a full moon over the harbour - very happy with the view from our balcony.
