A night of wild rain and crashing thunderstorms but the tent and our spirits just about held out.

We somehow managed to decamp in good order considering all the puddles and lighter but steady rain. Left the campsite about 1040. It was a 2 hour cross country drive with the map taking us along crazy country roads in places. Arrived 1300, starving, parked on the edge of town.

Found this super little restaurant. We had the burger and sauté de veau. Both excellent. No longer hungry (stuffed) drove to the municipal campsite and pitched our very soggy tent. We left it to dry out and shopped at the Le Clerc, a hyper market as big as the Westgate centre.
Back at camp the Wolf was remarkably dry and the sun came out. There was an air shoe with fly pasts; sport at the stade. Ate grilled chicken with salad.
Went to bed happy, then the dusk till dawn disco started .... A day of contrasts for sure.
